Corporate Relocations - Moving to Canada
Moving to Canada can be a simple task if you're using AMJ International movers to manage your shipments across the border and into Canada. Customs requires all goods entering Canada to be claimed. If goods are registered as personal property, then no duty will be charged on them.
The Canada Customs
and Revenue Agency requires you to fill out the Personal Effects Accounting Document (B4 E (01)). When you land in Canada, or cross the border, you should carry a list of the goods you have with you and a list of the goods to follow. You will need to go to a customs office at the airport or with the Goods To Follow list that the customs officer had stamped when you landed at your port of entry. The customs office will reconcile your copy of the Goods To Follow list with the one that they have on file and then release your goods free of duties and taxes.
Whether you're moving to Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal or Toronto, AMJ International movers are the right choice. Our experience, customer service, and professional handling of your property are just part of what makes us Canada's premier moving company. |
